The ADHD Friendly™ mark indicates that a product has been audited against the NICD Standard and has met defined thresholds across all five assessment domains.
"It certifies neurological accessibility within defined parameters — nothing more, nothing less."
Products must meet minimum thresholds in every domain. Partial compliance does not qualify for verification.
The HGS measures the alignment between what is claimed, what is implied, and what is actually experienced. Scale 0–10. Below 3 is acceptable.
Stated claims vs. actual product experience
Sensory and visual cues vs. blind user perception
Marketing language vs. functional reality
Label communication vs. neurodivergent interpretation
Brand submits complete documentation, product samples, and agrees to public registry listing.
Assessment across all five NICD domains. Neurodivergent user panel validation. HGS calculation.
Products meeting all thresholds receive the ADHD Friendly™ mark and are listed in the public registry.
Verification is valid for one year (extendable to three) and requires re-audit annually.
